Justin T. Lee is a director specializing in puppet and miniature filmmaking based in Toronto, Canada.

After a decade as an animator, designer, and visual effects artist in TV and film, Justin shifted his focus to directing his own projects, told through stop-motion, puppetry, and model miniatures. His first short film, The Cosmic Potato, garnered accolades in the festival circuit and led to a spin-off series co-produced with Shaftesbury for TVOkids.

Together with his wife, producer and screenwriter Lindsay Lee, he co-founded Gazelle Automations, an award-winning production company with original series on TVO and CBC, as well as collaborations with clients including the BBC, ITV, Publicis, and the University of Tokyo.

Justin is currently developing Space Bao, a heartfelt, surreal sci-fi fantasy feature film about an interstellar food courier’s journey to reconnect with her late mother.
